Edward Shalts, M.D., D.Ht., - Vice President at the National Center for Homeopathy and 2nd Vice President of the American Institute of Homeopathy, Dr. Edward Shalts is author of two books: “The American Institute of Homeopathy Handbook for Parents” and “Easy Homeopathy”. Additionally, he frequently contributes articles for “Homeopathy Today”.
Dr. Shalts is a faculty member of the Center for Health and Healing at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, the Institute for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, UMDNJ and the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Born and raised in Russia, Dr. Shalts came to the United States in 1988 where he first worked as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist at Columbia University for 4 years. From there, he competed his psychiatric residency training at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York where he also served as a Chief resident. Dr. Shalts worked for 4 years as a staff homeopath at the Center for Health and Healing (Beth Israel, NY) and then opened his private homeopathic practice in Manhattan. He has been practicing homeopathy for over 25 years since he became a family physician in Moscow, Russia.
