
Greens Make the Body More Alkaline
We have lost the ability to really chew our greens because most of the American diet consists of soft, over processed foods that are very acidic.
An acidic environment may cause disease to develop in the body due to consumption of heavy animal protein and a dairy rich diet. Research shows that fat cells are produced to bind the acid levels in the body. It is not the fat making you fat! It is the acid!
The question is how do most people eat greens?
I mean leafy dark greens such as kale, beet tops, spinach and chard that are in their raw state without being cooked. Yes I am serious. Since most of America does not eat greens we are going to change that!
Fresh fruits, vegetables, and greens along with some nuts are alkaline and promote health, not disease in your body. The larger the consumption of these foods in your diet the healthier you will feel and the more energy you will have.
But who can eat all these greens?
My husband Richard, myself, and my three children found a way for us to make it delicious and fun to consume plenty of greens and fruit on a daily basis. Not only does it produce great results, it is very simple. I have been a vegetarian for thirty years and my focus has always been live enzymes and living foods. What are you doing in your diet 75-80% of the time? Right. You are eating delicious raw living foods and a ton of greens! Why? Because these are alkaline and you want to have vibrant health.
Go ahead, I dare you to try it. On a daily basis buy fresh organic kale and oranges apples, raspberries, blueberries and bananas. Oh, how about pears and papaya and pineapple? Depending on the size of your family and what season it is you can buy organic frozen fruits and you are going to make the best GREEN SMOOTHIE.
Our bodies crave health. It is simple and not so far away. Your kitchen is your medicine chest. Have fun and explore. LIVE FOOD equals HEALTH!
THINK GREEN. DRINK GREEN and you will also increase your level of awareness.
You will need a blender called a Vitamix which can blend the cruciferous veggies properly. It is much more than a blender and you will have it forever!
GREEN DRINK
4-5 leaves of organic kale
One or two cups of fresh sqeezed orange juice
1-2 cups raspberries
2 pears cut up
A banana or 2
Blend and drink
